I have been wanting to write this for so long.

I've been reading all the great blogs about men going there own way for about a year now and have been living it without knowing what it was called for the past six.

After years of dating, and years of marriage, and years of dealing with women at work and in the wild, I've come to learn many things. I've learned that you can't make someone happy who doesn't want to be happy. I've learned that love and happiness mean very different things to men and women. When a man is happy it's because he chooses to be happy, and when he loves a woman he doesn't need a reason to love her, he just does.

For women love and happiness are conditional. Every woman has a long list of requirements that must be met in order for her to be happy. Every day she mentally consults that list and if anything is lacking then suddenly she's "not haaaapy". Which in case you haven't yet lived through that it means "the relationship is over and I've found someone else I want to live with and I'm just waiting for the opportune time to spring it on you". I've learned that women will be nice to you as long as they think they can get something from you, and as soon as they get it or no longer need it you're history. And I've learned that the only person you can really ever depend on is yourself.

And so I go my own way.
